Kendriya Vidyalaya, No.2 Army, Bhuj, was established in the year 1984, with a view to impart quality education to the students in this region. Established in the Defence Sector, the Vidyalaya is administered by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India with its headquarters at New Delhi. The Vidyalaya caters to the educational needs of the children of Defence, Para-Military and other Central Government employees by providing a common program of education. The Vidyalaya strives for the over all development of the students by pursuing excellence both in curricular and co-curricular activities. The standard of teaching and learning is kept high by introducing latest trends in the field of educational technology. The Vidyalaya has made commendable achievements in the field academics, Sports and other co-curricular activities constantly. The student strength is around 893. It has to its credit excellent infrastructural facilities to meet the demands of present day teaching and learning. The Vidyalaya has classes from standard I to XII and offers science and Commerce stream at the plus two level with optional including Computer Science and Informatics Practices. The school has sufficient infrastructure to cater to the requirements of the learners. Well equipped labs for all the science subjects including two computer labs with a total of 64 computers with the latest operating systems and 05 multimedia projector so that students have access to the latest in terms of technology aided learning experience.
